Vintage and classic cars are something only car collectors can understand. If you have a classic car that you have been trying to sell for some time, and you are just not having any luck, there are other ways to sell the car. Some of these options may be heartbreaking to you, but at least you could sell the vehicle.

Piece It Out

A lot of times there are other collectors looking for classic car parts for sale. They may want and need the drive train in the vehicle you have, but they do not want to purchase another vehicle just to pull out the part they need to get their vintage car running. If you piece it out, and sold your classic car piece by piece, you could eventually sell the whole thing. The best part is, you may actually get your asking price or better because you are selling it by the piece instead of selling the whole car.

Sell It to Movie Production Companies

Do you know what it takes to shoot an accident scene in a vintage vehicle? Usually the movie production companies have to find four to ten of the exact same car, make sure they are all painted the same, and then repeatedly shoot the same scene until the director gets exactly what he/she wants for the movie. That is a lot of banged-up classic cars! While that may sound distressing to a collector like yourself, the good news is that most of these vehicles are repaired, good as new, to store and drive in other movies again.

Sell It to Classic Car Detailers

In the reality TV show, Count's Kustoms, the shop owner, Count, takes classic cars, customizes them with fresh paint jobs and a few extras, and sells them for a hot price. You could take your classic vehicle to Las Vegas, visit the shop, and try to sell your classic vehicle to Count. If it is a rather rare classic or vintage car, there is a good chance he will buy it from you as it would be too juicy a deal to pass up.

At the very least, he might be able to give you the car's real worth. Then you can take that valuation to the Pawn Stars' shop, who work with Count, and get a really good sale on your car. It would be a fun road trip to meet some famous people and spend a little time in Vegas before you say goodbye to the car!
